Tuxtepec Mexico

Tuxtepec, Mexico December 12, 2008

“Moving Towards Revival” conference in Tuxtepec was the last conference we held in 2008. Very seldom do we see a group of people so ready and hungry for the fullness of the presence of the Holy Spirit. Young and old alike attended all six meetings from December 12th – 14th.

We ministered to women and men, separately, to the leadership, to the entire congregation in an open meeting with other pastors and leaders. Saturday night was a marriage banquet, the theme LOVE was set by the Holy Spirit. This was an outreach to the city and many unsaved couples attended and received the Lord as their savior.

What an amazing time we had. The presence of the Holy Spirit was so strong it melted all our hearts. The common thread of every meeting was a call to return to the cross and the blood of Jesus. We have a real bond with this church. They are on a mission to take the city for Jesus. The church is named “Amigos de Tuxtepec”. Friends of Tuxtepec. Many unsaved come each Sunday and find Jesus.

"This conference marked us for life." Were the words of the pastor as we concluded the meetings. The Holy Spirit touched us with his presence. Mariaelena and I are pressing in to the work of the Holy Spirit in our times. We know the end times draw near, and as they do we are know our strength lies in Him. We are doing all we can to reach the lost. Thank you for being partners with us to spread the "Good News."

PANAMA December 08

PANAMA- A country of prosperity. People are busy much like they are in the USA. Do they have time for God? Do they know how much He wants to have a relationship with them? Do they understand the great desire God had to redeem his people? Do they, or Do we, understand Philippians 2:6-8? GOD in the form of the SON (Jesus) did not consider his position as the creator of the universe something he couldn’t walk away from and become one of us so he could redeem us. He was willing to leave His awesome place in Heaven and become one of his own creations. It was the only way. Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin (Heb. 9:22) But why? This is the big question. Why would GOD do this for people who are too busy to care?

This was the theme of the entire Conference in Panama.

When will we as individuals understand the great sacrifice GOD made to redeem us from our own sin? When will we leave our busyness, striving for the things that don’t matter, fighting for the things that will parish and begin to long for, and hunger after, the purposes of GOD.

GOD the SON (Jesus) left the SPIRIT realm to enter into the physical realm. Something that had to be extremely difficult except the fact he was the creator of Love. Which is what it took. GREAT LOVE. Today, GOD asks of us to leave our realm of the flesh/soul (leave yourself) and enter into the realm of THE SPIRIT.

John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Are you ready to leave the world behind and follow GOD? If so you must get to know the third part of the Trinity, GOD the HOLY SPIRIT.

GOD spoke to us at this conference and said "You are too busy for me. Too busy going about daily tasks. To busy to read the word. To busy to pray. So busy, I can’t get your attention." He said, “I long for you like a father longs for his wayward son or daughter to return, my heart hurts.”

We really need to stop being so busy that GOD really doesn’t have a place in our life. We live in the soulish realm of life. What kind of relationship do we expect to have with GOD living in this realm. He doesn’t live there. He came to bring us salvation and redeem us to himself. But after salvation we must press in to a new realm. The realm of the HOLY SPIRIT. Come, lets go there together. AS a partner of Wings Of Eagles International, Inc. you help us take this message to the nations.

Nepal

Wow, what a shock to see the church in Nepal alive and well. We went to check out an old contact of some good friends of ours who traveled with us to India.

We had scheduled to hold a three-day series of meetings. Not knowing what to expect we went in ready for anything.

The first meeting started on a Wednesday morning. We got there only to find the four-story church packed with 1000 people on three different floors. That’s right over 300 per floor with video feed on each floor. We preached from the third floor and they watched from the other floors. The children’s church was located on the 4th floor.

What a refreshment to see the people of Nepal so hungry for the Gospel. Most of them took off their jobs or closed their business to attend the meetings.

With that kind of hunger you can imagine what kind of meetings we had. The word says “Everyone who hungers and thirst for God will be filled.”

God sure did not let us down. The meetings began with great contemporary praise then lead into intense worship. The presence of God began to settle. The music turned in to prophetic worship. If you have never experienced prophetic worship it is nothing less than awesome. God inhabits the praise of his people in a way that the Holy Spirit touches everyone there without the need for preaching. Issues of life begin to seem meaningless. Stress leaves. People get healed. People begin to repent. The Holy Spirit takes over and starts his work like only He can do. People fall out under his power and cannot stand any longer while the work within ones soul begins.

We saw the Holy Spirit single out people in the crowd who were unsaved and they gladly accepted Jesus. Many filled with the Holy Spirit. Lives were turned around and set on the path of righteousness. Marriages saved. Pastors encouraged and strengthened.

Women ministered to not only as a group but also one-on-one as Mariaelena and our friend Dianna Lindsey held a 6-hour women’s meeting.

The Holy Spirit is at work all over the world. We are on the edge of our seat as we participate in this last great revival.

Thank you Holy Spirit for allowing us to see first hand the hunger in your people in Nepal.

Our contact in Nepal is Pastor Ranjit. He has been a missionary there from India since 1994. He is now a citizen. He is contending for a move of the Holy Spirit. Pray for him and his wife and family.

Container sent to North India

We recently sent a container to Northern India. The container is full of supplies for the work we support there. Dinesh and Rachael Chand founded NICO, North Indian Community Outreach. We have had a personal relationship with Dinesh for 20 years and have found they operate in the highest integrity. We are proud of them and their work in India.

The work focuses on church planting and community building. NICO strategically places vocational training centers in villages that have no gospel witness. These centers train people from that village in areas like sewing, cosmetology, and electronics.

The center is Christian and advertised as such so there is no doubt as to the content of the message. Each center will have about 10 to 15 students and the course is 10 months.

The following is an excerpt from their website:

Leadership Training
Training the indigenous is a big

To date, NICO has trained more than 60 pastors and leaders to pioneer work in villages and towns that have never heard the name of Jesus Christ. Currently, they have 35 indigenous leaders that have planted 26 active fellowships in North India . Through the zeal and ambitions of these indigenous workers, NICO has witnessed over 2,000 salvations since 2001.

As this growth is taking place more fellowships have become established and people are receiving healing with powerful testimonies to the Lord. The Lord continues to confirm that training the local people is the right approach to reach the unreached in remote areas of North India .

We encourage you to go back to our website and plant a seed in what God is doing in Northern India. Simply click on donate and designate your gift to Northern India. If no designation is made your gift will help us in our general missions outreach.

Northern India

We arrived in Northern India on November 4th to begin a conference on Biblical Finances. We are working with NICO. North India Community Outreach. The conference is three days. Pastors from all over north India are in attendance.

The concept of sowing and reaping, living a life of integrity, humility, and putting others first are our topics. We are encouraged by the response of the pastors.

Today, (the last day of the conference) the praise and worship was one of the most anointed I have ever seen in India. The presence of God fell so strong, the Holy Spirit prophesied to couples, women, youth for over an hour. WOW God is doing an incredible work in North India. The people are hungry. Pray for the pastors of this area. They suffer much persecution for their faith. It is illegal to convert someone from the Hindu faith. They are laying everything on the line.

Turkey Trip

Here are a few pictures of Tarsus, Turkey. There are 350000 people in Tarsus. As you may remember this is where Paul who wrote most of the New Testament lived.
We visited the site they call his home which has been excavated along with a portion of the "Roman Road".

From what I am told, there are only 8, yes I said eight (8) Turkish believers who live here... They suffer great persecution here. Many expect to be martyred. However the love of Christ is abundant here and shows through the believers we met. We are encouraging them to continue to walk in Love toward their unbelieving fellow countryman that He might be seen in them.

Finally moved in

The move is complete. We now can call the new building home.

All three ministries are now under one roof. WOW. That’s really the best way to describe the feeling we all have as we walk through and feel the presence of God among each office and up and down the halls.

What a testimony of his provision. When I think about it in the natural my mind goes tilt. We have learned that the best place is to keep our head stuck into the realm of FAITH. In this realm “All things are possible.” We don’t have fear, doubt, anxiety, and stress in this realm. We understand that we are simply servants of the most-high God. Where he calls us to go he provides. It is his work, his kingdom we work in and for. It is really no different than if we lived in an earthly kingdom with a real King and Queen. Every job in the kingdom is done to advance that kingdom. It is the Kings responsibility to provide for his people. It’s no difference with God. He is in control. He does not want us worrying about life. He wants us to give it to him so he can help us live it and live our life to the fullness.

Here are more pictures of the interior. It is a miracle we are here. God has many more things in store. We are just getting started.

Continuing the move process...

OK, so it is taking us longer to move than we thought. What a trial this has been. Have you ever noticed that everything cost money? Even with the great favor we have been shown, the volunteer help, and donations, we are living out of the hand of God.
Which is really where we want to be, in fact we wouldn't have it any other way. I was reading in “My Utmost for his Highest” today and it spoke of “The compelling purpose of God.” Jesus had a purpose from God and pressed in and achieved that purpose. We on the other hand think we know what God wants for us and we press in to that avail. Only to find that this Christian life is really a series of test and trials, victories and defeats that ultimately bring us to the real goal of God for our lives. I say “COOL” bring it on. I have found that living day-to-day trusting God each step is way better than trying to see the end that may never come.

Only when we make God our true source, do we really find the meaning of life. Happiness eludes the one who continually tries to work out the plan of God for their life. But great joy lies in the one who finds him or her self content on looking to God daily for Manna. Most would say that is too hard. I say worrying about tomorrow is harder than resting in the fact that God has it under control.

Well enough of the preaching. These pictures are as of 8/4/08. We are moving the last of the Second Chance offices into the building. Today we move the training classes for Second Chance to the new building. We are still limping with the phone service; our T1 line should be hooked up within the next week or so.

Bill and Sherry Gibson will start with us today. They have been long term friends of Mariaelena and I and have years of experience working in outreach, and ministry. They are both ordained ministers and have a great heart to reach-out to the needy, do missions, and preach. The icing on the cake is they are great administrators. Bill is one of the hardest working men I have known. I had the privilege to work with him in California for many years before we moved to Lakeland.

One of our first goals (there are many but remember not our will but HIS) is to expand the ministry of The Outreach Center of Central Florida and enhance the work of Wings of Eagles International by bringing in higher quality commodities to supply to the needy both here and abroad.

We have assembled a container load of items that will be shipped to India to North Indian Community Outreach NICO for short. www.nicoindia.org The items will be used to help furnish their new facility. Their ministry reaches the northern area of India where it is illegal to convert people from Hinduism. We are proud to support their work not only with this container but financially and with Pastor and Leadership seminars and marriage and women’s conferences. Mariaelena and I will travel there this November from the 2nd to the 16th.

We will also be in Turkey from September 14th to the 30th preaching, and holding leadership meetings. Mariaelena will hold a women’s conference in Spanish for a Spanish-speaking group that lives there.

Keep us in your prayers as we do all our partners. And remember keep the cards and letters coming…

Serving others

Building Update

We are almost ready for the big move. As always it has taken us longer than we expected to get the building ready. On Monday we will be laying the carpet and the rest of the week finishing up the tile in the restrooms and kitchen. It has been a long process. It still amazes us to see how much God cares about the details that matter to you. We wanted the building right before we moved in. We have a friend in the floor covering business, Karen at warehouse flooring in Auburndale, FL who sold us everything at her cost then discounted that. We found installers who are working for about half the going rate just to help us out. It has been a real walk of faith.

But this is just the beginning. We are believing God to help us set up the studio with the latest video, radio and internet equipment. We are now adventuring into our own uncharted territory. If you know of someone who can help us in this quest please contact us through the website or simply call us.

Back to the move. It seems we have one more week of preparation before we can officially move. So the new move date will be July 14th. Anyone who has a strong back and willing heart we can use you.

New Building Purchase

We finally closed. The property is ours. (we just need to pay for it) April 30th, 2008 was the big day. What a day it was. One-year prior, we entered into a contract to purchase an 18,000 sq ft facility complete with 28 offices, a recording studio, and 10,000 sq ft of air-conditioned warehouse. The building is on 23 acres of raw land less than ½ mile off the I-4 corridor in Lakeland.

The contract was for six months. We put $30,000.00 down and were to raise a total of $500,000.00 as a down payment on a total cost of 2.5 million dollars. At the end of the six months we had the option to extend the contract for six months, one month at a time for an additional $10,000.00 per month. At the end of the year we had $100,000.00 in escrow which would be lost if we did not close on April 30th.

Throughout the year we fasted, prayed, called everyone we knew, (and some we didn’t) and began to raise the $500,000.00. It was not easy. I was told I should quit, that it is over my head (which I knew) even the local paper (Lakeland Ledger) said “bold yes, feasible???” Understandably, there were skeptics on every side. Now I am not saying I am some big man of faith. For the most part, everyone had every right to tell me these things. From the worlds’ point of view, they were right.

But we don’t live by the worlds’ point of view. We see things that are not, as though they were…(Heb 11). God had given me a word to move forward. I put out the call for help and many stood with us.

We by the last day of the contract we still needed $80,000.00. We had been notified that the seller’s attorney’s office would close at 5:00 pm and the deal would be off. I would lose $100,000.00 in escrow, and one year worth of work. WE PRAYED. At 2:30 pm I received a call from a custom new homebuilder, whom I had only met a few months earlier. He had already sown $10,000.00 towards the purchase but was returning my call from a few days prior. He asked me what he could do to help. I told him I needed $80,000.00. He said he would get back to me in a few days. Then I informed him I didn’t have a few days, I only had a few hours. By 5:00 pm I had a check for $80,000.00 in my hand and was sitting at the closing office ready to purchase the new building. GLORY TO GOD.

Because the odds of closing were against me, I had agreed with the sellers they could use the first month after closing to move out. (In case I did not close they would not have moved) So May was a waiting period.

The Month of June has been a month of renovations. We have moved a few walls, painted everything, and are now in the process as of 6/27/08 of laying tile in the halls. The offices will get new carpet. We plan to move in the week of July 7th.

We have a new direction from God for our ministry. We will utilize this property to the fullest. More on that latter.

I had put together a 5-year business plan so I could get a vision as to how we would work out the details after closing to pay the remaining balance. The owners are carrying the remaining $2,000,000.00 at a low interest rate. I have two interest only payments twice per year. The first is in November 08, of $61,000.00. The loan will balloon in 5 years.

My business plan for the first year was to change the zoning of the property from RVL (residential very low) to BP (business park). The building was built in 1992 and at that time was in the county. It was annexed into the city of Lakeland two years ago. The property all around it is being converted to commercial. I knew I needed to do the same thing to make the 23 acres more valuable.

The day I came home from our medical trip to Ucila Mexico (see photo gallery) I had a notice on my desk of a hearing on the property next to me to rezone it to the same zoning I desired. (it was raw land with no developments) I felt it would be good to go there and see how the city was going to handle my neighbor’s request. I was shocked when I saw on the agenda for the day the listing of OUR PROPERTY to be rezoned from RVL TO BP.

It seems that after the city annexed the property they determined it was not zoned properly. So in the best interest of the city they applied to themselves (they have to abide by the same process as everyone else) to change the zoning of my property. They did not have to notify anyone because it already had a commercial building on the property.

WOW. I spoke up and told them I was the new owner. They thought I was there to fight. It was a great day when we came into agreement to change the zoning.

God had this in the works for over 6 months before I purchased the property. It cost thousands of dollars and much time and effort to change zoning and God did it for me the first month we owned the property. GLORY TO GOD.

I will continue to post new events as they unfold concerning the new property and the coming changes in our ministry. Check out the photo gallery to see our progress. Send us your email address and we will notify you when we post updated news.

God Bless you and thank you for your help. If you would like to give towards this our any project we are doing you can click on donate and give online. Just include an email to let us know how to apply your donation.

Ucila Trip a great success

We returned from Ucila, Mexico on Sunday the 15th. What a great time we had. We saw over 1000 people in the medical and dental clinic during the five days. Hundreds received Jesus. We had youth meetings in the afternoon with about 150 youth and open air meetings in the evenings with about 1000 in attendance.
This is our 7th year to go to Ucila. The first year we came upon great opposition. Many in the village did not trust us or want us there. That is until they saw we really cared about them. The church there had been struggling with only a few members. We showed them the love of Christ. How God can make a huge difference in ones life. Many came to know Jesus that first year.
Year after year we continued. Now 7 years later the president of the village greeted us the first night by holding our meeting in the square of the county seat. He built a stage for us, welcomed us personally, and made his entire staff sit through the service. The president of the village publicly admitted he was a sinner and he needed God. Hundreds prayed with these government workers as we lead the entire congregation in the sinners prayer.
Each night seemed to get better as we preached and lifted up the name of Jesus. Thursday night it began to pour rain just as we began to preach. No one left. Many just got out their umbrellas and sat there, others took shelter under the platform covering and others under a near by building, but their hunger kept them there.
The final night our team prayed for individuals and families. It was a wonderful time seeing Gods grace unleashed on people crying out for the truth.
Today, 7 years after we first began working here, the church is running over 600 on Sunday.
They now know the truth and the truth has set them free.
You too can know this truth. You can fill that empty void in your life, that constant feeling that there is something more. That feeling is there for a reason. Because there is more...

Leaving for Mexico

We will leave Sunday June 8th for Mexico. Ministering in the mountains of Oaxica is one of our highlight trips. We go every year to a village called Ucila. We will be doing a medical crusade during the day and a youth event in the evening.
We usually see about 1000-1200 patients each week and have about that many in the evening meetings.
We will post pictures here as soon as we get back.

Pray for favor at customs, good weather, and lots of souls brought into the Kingdom of God.
